Digital Planning: My Hybrid Approach

Hey there, everyone. In light of Passion Planner’s New Digital Launch today, I'm sharing my insights into the blend of digital tools that keep my days organized and my thoughts clear. While I love the traditional feel of pen and paper, digital planning has become a game changer for me. My go-to app for this? Goodnotes. But that's not all—I also spice things up with the Paper app.

Why I Embrace Digital Tools

Unmatched Flexibility: With digital planning, the limits to my planning vanish. I can add pages, create hyperlinks between sections, and organize my thoughts with incredible flexibility. It's like wielding the magic wand of organization!

Always With Me: Whether I'm on a bus or at a café, as long as I have my device (for me my iPhone & iPad), I have my planner. This level of accessibility just can't be beaten by traditional planners.

Eco-Conscious: Going digital means I’m cutting down on paper use, which is a big plus for the environment. It’s a small step toward sustainability that feels really good. I still use paper, but I’m trying my best to use less of it.

The Flip Side: What I Miss and Manage

The Joy of Writing: There’s a certain magic to writing things down on paper that I miss. The tactile feel of the pen and the texture of paper have their own charm. Sure, I can use my Apple Pencil to write on my iPad, but it doesn’t compare.

Steep Learning Curve: Initially, mastering Goodnotes felt like tackling a beast with all its features. But once you get the hang of it, it’s incredibly empowering.

Dependent on Power: The reality of a dead battery has hit me a few times, cutting short my planning sessions. It’s the one major snag in the digital fabric.

Beyond Planning: Journaling Digitally

I don’t just plan digitally; I also journal. Recently I’ve been using the Paper app, I capture fleeting thoughts, sketch ideas, and unwind through digital pages. It’s a soothing process that complements my digital planning routine.

Why I Stick With It

Despite some hiccups, the integration of Goodnotes and the Paper app into my daily routine has streamlined how I manage my tasks and express my thoughts. It’s not just about keeping schedules—it’s about creating a space that adapts to my needs.

Transitioning to digital has its ups and downs, but the efficiency and creativity it offers are worth the initial effort. If you’re pondering a digital shift or looking to enhance your digital planning techniques, dive in! You might just find a system that clicks perfectly with your lifestyle.
